FACADE
RESTORATION
Bank building brick and wood
facade. Restoring original character while maintaining modern conveniences for
clients, such as ATM machine.
Problem:
Owner within an historic district requests to
restore building facade back to its original charm while installing modern
necessities for their business, such as ATM machine, low-e reflective glass, and
low exterior maintenance.
Solution:
Utilize modern treated lumber for
lower maintenance. Use high-tech elastomeric coatings to keep lumber waterproof
and salt resistant from continuous sidewalk salting. Recess ATM machine so as
not to detract from historic facade.
